Yard Work?

So, what does a father do during the first week of his son's life when sleep is non-existant? Yep, yard work.

Last night, Grandpa Craig took us out to dinner at a restuarant called Chedders and Ash was asleep by the time the car got out of the garage. Then we got to the restuarant and he slept through the entire meal. It was a miracle. So, to make things interesting, I woke him up after we finished eating so he could see his grandpa while we were there.

Of course, I also had to take him to the bathroom personally to change his diaper. Not that he needed it changed, but I had to carry him through the restaurant so everyone could get the chance to "ooh" and "ahh" over my boy.

Last night was another tough night. He wanted to eat constantly (Johanna said they were timed apart just right, but they seemed to come right after each other in the clock in my head) and cried a lot.

We have his grandpa Steve and Grandma Nancy coming in tomorrow to help us out for about a week, so what do Johanna and I do with help on the way? We clean as much as possible before they can get here. Go figure... I did the lawn and tried to find the section of the fence that our puppy Tater keeps getting out at to fix. Johanna did the floors in the house and laundry and I did the dishes, cleaned the kitchen and finished the guest room (finally).

Steve and Nancy are getting here just in time because I start back to work Friday and I am glad Johanna has extra hands for my first days away from home (12 hour work days for me).
